You don’t need any prior experience in owning your own business or operating a fitness business. We know that the majority of new franchise owners do not have prior experience in owning their own business. However, having a passion for fitness, health and wellness is strongly recommended.
A center owner must wear lots of hats. But if we had to give you the most important attributes of a Shapes Women Fitness Center owner it would be the obvious love of helping others. Your willingness to develop relationships with your members and focus on them achieving their goals and getting results will ensure success as a franchise owner.
Our initial training program consists of approximately two weeks of classroom and on-site training at a company-owned location in Brandon, Florida. In addition to yourself, you are invited to bring your location manager and up to two other staff members. The training program will include administration functions, operations, marketing concepts, customer service training, personnel training and other important aspects of running the day-to-day business.
In addition, our support team will be at your location for an additional five days of training that will take place during the opening of your center.
Yes. Our plan is to begin working with you on locating and signing a lease for space that will provide you with the most opportunity for success. We will then begin working with you, your construction team, equipment manufacturers and suppliers to maximize the space that you have leased.
Absolutely! We understand that you may want the flexibility to open multiple locations and have complete control of your territory. You are provided a protected territory as part of your franchise agreement.
The initial franchisee fee is $30,000. You will pay ongoing royalties of between 5.7 and 8 percent depending on your gross sales. We ask that you spend an additional 5 percent per month in local advertising. Most of your marketing needs will be handled by our team, who will assist you in building a marketing calendar and using a strong social media and local search strategy

Ideally, we would like to see you in approximately 7,000 to 12,000 square feet of space. If possible, we want road visibility and prominent signage. We will work directly with your local real estate professional to help select the best location available.
Since our build-out is not complicated, we will generally open within three to four months of signing your agreement. If your location has already been identified, the time to open can be reduced considerably.
We have an extensive social media policy that we have coupled with best practices. Some storeowners are better equipped than others to monitor and manage their social media presence. We will discuss this at length during training and you will be all set up before you open your restaurant.
